House Training a Dog
Your dogs are your most prized possession and you would love to pamper and give them the best of the world. You are sometimes worried when you left them alone in the house, thinking what could be the worst thing that could happen on them. I know how you love to cuddle and play with them all day long but of course you could not do that always. So the best way to have a piece of mind for their sakes is to train them. Of course it would be costly to hire a professional trainer for them. House training a dog is the best thing you can do for your dog.
House training a dog is not an easy task, much more when you are not typically a patient person. You may get easily mad when your dog commits mistakes. But it is natural, your dog requires more of your patience and understanding, soon you will be rewarded by his new found discipline. House training a dog may take time but the results are worth it.
What are the things you have to put on top of your house training a dog agenda? Here are some basic things you have to train him for.
First, let your dog learn to use the bathroom whenever he pees. In this way, you will not get worried that he soiled your whole house when you leave him. It is so simple; let your dog go out to use the bathroom every time he wakes up and shortly after he eats. You can’t expect your dog tells you when he needs to go to the bathroom so you have to learn his metabolism.
Second, train your dog not to chew or bite the things in your house, most especially your shirts and shoes. Teach them that it is not a thing they have to play with. Every time you see your dog biting your stuff, tell him to stop and give him an irritated look. So that next he heard you say words like “stop”, he knows he has to stop.
Third, train him not to run in an open door. A dog has the tendency to run after an open door. This is very dangerous for your dog. Just tell him to stay on where he is every time you see he want run after that door.
Dogs are considered the smartest pet we could ever have and that indeed is true. House training a dog should be associated with rewards to be successful.
